Lincoln speaks in evening. Gov. Hoppin calls meeting to order, and
Thomas A. Jenckes introduces Lincoln. "Railroad Hall was filled to
overflowing . . . by an audience to welcome and to hear the great
champion of Republicanism in Illinois."
