becomes owner of German newspaper and draws contract with Theodore Canisius for
its management. Recognizing that "Illinois Staats-Anzeiger" of Springfield is
Lincoln's property, contract grants Canisius free use of paper for publication
purposes on condition that paper supports Republican party. Contract
