| In the U. S. Circuit Court, Judge Samuel H. Treat rules in
favor of the plaintiff George C. Tallman in the case of
Tallman v. Harvey. Lincoln and John Clark
represent Tallman in a dispute over the ownership of a tract of land located in
Champaign County. The attorneys for both parties had argued the case before the
court the previous June. On this day, Judge Treat awards Tallman the disputed
land and one cent in damages. The Court also orders the defendant John F.
