Lincoln defends U. H. Crosby on charge of obstructing road with
fence. Jury finds for plaintiff and assesses his damages at $1;
Lincoln files bill of exceptions.

Lincoln gives Crosby receipt for $5—"on my fee in his road suit
in the Tazewell circuit court."
