"Present appearances indicate that but few of the numerous cases
before the [federal] court will be tried at the present term,"
reports Register. "Many of the attorneys in charge of
suits are absent, and with those present we suspect the excessive
heat of the weather has produced an indisposition to labor, which, of
course, is very natural and proper under the circumstances."
