Friday, February 1, 1850.Springfield, IL. | At 6:00 AM, Edward Baker Lincoln, the second child of Abraham and Mary Lincoln, dies in Springfield. Edward, who had been ill for nearly two months, would have turned four years old on March 10. In a letter he wrote a few weeks later to his stepbrother John D.
