Thursday, April 7, 1842.Springfield, IL. | Logan & Lincoln participate in five cases in the Sangamon County Circuit
Court. In the case, C. Goodell & Company
v. John Duff & Company, the court empanels a jury to assess the debt and damages
due to the plaintiffs, Harrison Goodell and Calvin Goodell, represented by Logan &
Lincoln. Lincoln provides the jury with a calculation of the outstanding debt. The jury awards
the Goodells $573.92 for the debt and $0.01 in damages. In the ejectment case of Sparks v. Bird & Bird, the defendants
enter their plea, and the court continues the suit until the next term. Logan & Lincoln
