Tuesday, March 22, 1842.Springfield, IL. | Lincoln writes Speed March 27, 1842 that Mary Todd went with party to Jacksonville March 21, 1842, and
"on her return, spoke, so that I heard of it, of having enjoyed the trip exceedingly.
God be praised for that." Because of train schedules on Northern Cross Railroad, party
could not return until today. Thus Lincoln is evidently in Springfield.Abraham Lincoln to Joshua F.
