Lincoln writes letter of introduction to Thomas Corwin, secretary of
treasury, in behalf of Simeon Francis, editor of "Illinois Journal,"
who wishes interview with Alexander H. H. Stuart, new secretary of
interior. Lincoln will be obliged for any assistance Corwin can
render Francis.
